"My Valentine's History"

February 14 is a very romantic and special day for all lovers and not only for them, but also for friends. But how did it originate? Where does this day come from and how true are all the myths we hear and know about it?

The origin of this celebration goes back to the third century, in Rome, which is based on a legend that tells the moving story of a priest who was in love with a young and very beautiful woman named Valentina, unfortunately as she never gave indications of to correspond to Valentin was why he decided to recruit and become a priest. Valentina was a woman of the highest class who, when she became an adult, never married, at that time the Roman Emperor Claudius II, had prohibited the celebration of marriages for young people, because in their opinion the unmarried and less attached were better soldiers .

The priest Valentine considered that the decree was unfair and secretly celebrated marriages for young lovers and for this he was martyred and later executed on February 14. It is said that before his death Saint Valentine wrote a letter to Valentina where he confessed that he had never stopped loving her and that even on his last day he loved her, Valentina had always loved him too, but by the decree of the king and because Valentine was a priest he never dared to reciprocate. And that is how the great day of love and friendship began, where everything can happen and it is considered as a great magical day full of love.

In Mexico as in many other countries it is a very special day in which people buy roses and chocolates, there are fairs and games so that not only lovers but also friends can have fun, classes in schools are suspended so that Young people can go out to have fun, there are balloons, and people give love as they should always without having to have a special day.






















































It is said that while in prison, Valentine also fell in love, and wrote him the first "Valentine's Day card" for his love, signing: "From your Valentine".
He died in mid-February, so Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14, in honor of his death
